Elke woning wordt voorzien van een ventilatie-unit. Dit kan zijn voor alleen mechanische afvoer, maar ook voor gebalanceerde ventilatie met warmteterugwinning. Alle ventilatie-units in de boven elkaar gelegen woningen worden onder een hoek van 90 graden aangesloten op een collectief kanaal. De toe te passen hulpstukken zijn voorzien van rubberen afdichtingen. Bovendaks wordt op het collectieve afvoerkanaal een afvoerkap geplaatst met een lage weerstand. Deze kap is zo geconstrueerd dat bij verschillende windsnelheden de af te voren luchthoeveelheid nagenoeg constant blijft.
